What You’ll Do

  • Identify opportunities to enhance the screening processes in region, including opportunities to decrease the hit rate, consolidate list information and/or develop rules to decrease the number of alerts requiring manual review
  • Support Deutsche Bank in protecting Deutsche Bank’s from legal, regulatory, and reputational risk with regard to business involving sanctioned entities and / or countries
  • Assist with list management for the region, including oversight of the regional internal sanctions list, assessing list additions and removals, and additional regulatory lists that may need to be added to the filters for the region and US related lists that may impact global screening requirements
  • Assist in responding to audit, regulatory and third-party requests relating to the Bank’s screening filters, rules and screening logic
  • Work closely with the AFC Monitoring and Screening to support in region sanctions related technology development
  • Work towards the remediation of sanctions related technology issues in region, knowledge of Sanctions laws/regulations to provide guidance to business and compliance staff

Skills You’ll Need

  • Proficiency Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Moderate years’ experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or sanctions compliance and operations in a global financial institution and working with sanctions filters and technology
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to prioritize requirements to achieve regulatory or audit requirements, deliver timely and quality execution in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment
  • Ability to work across geographic & cultural boundaries to achieve organizational goals & objectives

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Trust and Hot Scan a plus (not required)
  • Strong, independent self-starter & problem solver
  • High attention to details, organized, and strong project management or evident ability to influence management and adhere to deadlines, and strong drafting, analytical and communication skills, team player and self –starter, able to act on own initiative and learn quickly
  • Strength in U.S. economic sanctions regulations
  • Team player and self –starter, able to act on own initiative and learn quickly

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
