JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title: SALESFORCE ADMINISTRATOR
Summary/Objective: The Salesforce Administrator will participate in the ongoing development, deployment, and support of our Salesforce org. The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using the Salesforce platform. The administrator will work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes that support the sales, support and marketing needs at Samtec. This role is for the admin position but will most certainly require some business analyst skills. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the executing and supporting the day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and improvement of our platform.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Work with stakeholders to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.
- Implement and manage data feeds and other in-house and third-party integrations within Salesforce, often in conjunction with our Enterprise Architecture team.
- Coordinate the evaluation, scoping and completion of new development requests.
- Assist in training/onboarding of new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization.
- Handle all administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine but essentials tasks.
- Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades and feature deprecations.
- Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with 400+ users.
- Work with stakeholders, developers and supporting teams to define and document development requirements.
- Effectively act as a liaison between our users, vendors, and the application development teams.

Required Experience:
- CRMA knowledge and experience a plus
- Candidate must have thorough experience administering Salesforce on the Lightning Platform
- Extensive experience in generating Reports and Dashboards
- Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Expertise in data migration.
- Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications preferred.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality.
- Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred.
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time and project management skills, and a positive attitude
- Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
- Preferred 4-5 years as a Salesforce.com administrator.
- Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
- Strong knowledge of tools like Workflows, Process Builder, Flow Builder, etc. to automate tasks.
- Strong data management abilities.
- Ability to critically evaluate information in the known environment to distinguish user requests from the actual underlying needs.
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes.
- A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
- A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.
- Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineer or equivalent is required.
Training required:
- On the job training as appropriate.
