Sales Finance Sr. Manager

The Sales Finance Sr. Manager is responsible for leading the Sales Finance function. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Sales Finance Sr. Manager’s specific responsibilities include: forecasting Gross Sales, Trade, and Net Sales by customer, managing Trade Accruals, reporting on monthly performance, post event analysis, and leading our weekly S&OP call.


Tactical Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; MS/MBA a plus

● 7+ years of professional general business and financial experience

● CPG experience preferred

● Deep experience with Sales, Trade, and Net Sales

● Strong understanding of syndicated data (SPINS, IRI, etc.)

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

● Strong organizational skills

● Strong Excel skills

● Role is located in Chicago, IL

● Be able to lead internal and external stakeholders by influence

● Sense of ownership and a holistic view of running a business

● Exceptional, proactive, and direct communication skills

● Strong financial acumen

● Courageous: have the courage to try new things and make difficult decisions

● Self starter, with a desire to learn, grow, and evolve as a professional

Areas of focus for Sales Finance Sr. Manager


Cross-Functional

● Collaborate with Finance Team, as well as Sales and Supply Chain counterparts to ensure accurate accounting, planning, forecasting, and reporting

● Partner with Finance and Sales Teams to ensure a seamless flow of accurate information for AR and Trade

● Collaborate with all functions to complete the month end close process alongside the Accounting Team

● Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to lead the S&OP process


Strategic

● Partner with Sales to optimize our Trade Spend and Strategy

● Partner with Company Leadership on Pricing Strategy

● Partner with Sales and Company Leadership to deliver Net Sales AOP

● Continuously elevate our reporting capabilities

● Maintain accurate trade accruals and support

● Oversee the process of deductions reconciliation and manage relationship with 3rd party deductions support
