Job Description
Job Summary


The Sales Account Manger will be the face of Blue Hawaiian Helicopters supporting growing our partnership portfolio across the State. This role will focus on third party sales with current partners and grow new partnership with focus on Japan and Korea markets. In addition, this role is responsible for managing affiliate relations specific to content accuracy/changes, rates, accounting discrepancies and guest service escalations.


Essential Functions And Responsibilities Include The Following


  • Visit outside partners and concierge/sales locations with periodic inter-island travel as needed to promote BHH.
  • Resolve accounting issues/discrepancies and support accounting as needed.
  • Proactively manage insurance renewals and updates within company systems.
  • Acquire, negotiate, and contract affiliate partnerships to grow BHH sales
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to meet team and company objectives and goals.
  • Be first POC for escalated agency related issues
  • Maintain regular communication with agencies sending updates via email campaigns, digital flyers, quarterly updates, etc.
  • Attend relevant sales meetings, functions, conferences, and other trade show opportunities throughout the year.
  • Maximize all revenue opportunities, work to understand internal/external needs and continually review the sales process to identify improvements and efficiencies.
  • Manage and maintain agency database, OTA and POS containing rates, content, inventory, requirements
  • Regularly audit performance and system reporting to validate the agency portfolio is in an optimum state
  • Keep up to date with market developments identifying gaps and opportunities.
  • Represent BHH with a comprehensive understanding of all Blue Hawaiian tour offerings, booking process and policies, rates structures and retail options at bases
  • Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.


Additional Job Requirements


  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 20%

Qualifications

Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university and 7 or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with Asia markets such as Japan, Korea, and China
  • Knowledge of travel and concierge industry.
  • 2-4 years professional experience in sales/account management and/or customer service (ideally in the hospitality industry)

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely articulate conclusions to senior management and teams.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work independently
  • Strong motivational and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in either Japanese or Korean
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations, personalities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High energy and creative; able to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to make sound decisions fast, good problem-solving skills


Computer Skills


  • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook


Working Location


This position is based on Maui or Oahu and will be require traveling to the other base locations in which Blue Hawaiian Helicopters resides. Travel will also be required for participation in trade functions, conferences, and other opportunities to be determined throughout the year.
