Safety Supervisor
ABOUT THE ROLE

Boldyn Networks has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Supervisor to focus on transit-related operations. This position will help lead systems safety programs for major mass transit clients with a primary focus on public rail. You will have the opportunity to work on complex safety, environmental and security related projects and be a part of our program. The job involves providing safety supervision and leadership with an emphasis on field operations.
What you’ll be doing
  • Enforce Safety and Security Programs in accordance with all federal, state, local, and customer specific requirements.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control the work activities at the worksite as it relates to a safe working environment.
  • Provide positive support for the achievement of ISMS objectives.
  • Shall report to the Corporate Safety Manager and the Contract Safety Engineer.
  • Perform daily inspection report audits, safety and security review testing and verification of system readiness.
    • Shall report to the Corporate Safety Manager and the Contract Safety Engineer.
    • Understand, accept, and comply with responsibilities for information security.
    • Take due care to maintain information security at work and whilst teleworking.
    • Positive participation in information security training; Acknowledge that use of information and systems may be logged.
    • Report all information security incidents, risks, and concerns promptly.
    • Provide positive support for the achievement of ISMS objectives.
    • Care and protection of assigned assets e.g., laptops, phones
    • Keep authentication details for their accounts secret and confidential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the work being performed, from a safety and security perspective,

  • Ensure Transit Wireless subcontractor clients perform all mandated actions as it refers to: Systems Safety Engineering; Fire/ Life Safety; Safety training; Safety certification; Emergency procedures, plans and drills; Environmental engineering/management studies; Risk management and acceptance.

What you’ll bring
  • Microsoft suite experience
  • Proven ability to work across multiple disciplines to coordinate work on behalf of public sector clients.
  • Bachelor's degree OR High school diploma and an additional 4 years of professional experience
  • Transit Safety experience required (NYCT, PA, NJT, LIRR, etc.)
  • At least 5 years direct hands-on experience in transit safety environment is required.
  • Experience with safety and security programs, policies, standard operating procedures and/or emergency preparedness documents or programs to meet all necessary requirements.
  • Residence in the New York Metro area
Deliverables:
  • Daily Safety inspection documents
  • Incident and Near Miss Investigation Reports
  • Daily Hazard Identification surveys
  • Documentation of all pre-start safety briefings
  • Documentation of controls placed in the field to mitigate hazards found.
  • Bi-weekly safety meeting and meeting minutes
  • Documentation of New Employee Orientations
  • Documentation of pre-start equipment inspections (this shall be issued 3 days before the work is to begin to the Safety engineer).
