JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Act as role model, coach/counsel others on compliance with all safety standards
· Coach Safety Supervisors, Project Management Teams in development of safety components and mitigation plans in Daily Activity Plans, Work Packages; review and approve major plans
· Review, oversee, and coach the development and delivery of project orientations, Project Management Plans and Emergency Response Plans
· Establish relationships with local emergency response services
· Oversee on-site Incident Investigations, root-cause analysis, advise on Corrective Actions; make recommendations for long-term solutions
· Work with corporate safety to develop company safety record keeping standards and emergency response standards
· Oversee Injury Management for job / Infrastructure Market; coordinate with Corp Disability Mgmt
· Assist Safety Supervisors in establishment of modified duties for team members with work modifications
· Investigate new / specialty safety equipment / PPE for incorporation in Cianbro practices
· Analyze CAPP Market / Company trends, create sustainable corrective actions, communicate out to project teams
· Lead development / delivery of new / updated safety training across Market / Company
· Coordinate and manage annual Hearing Van
· Participate in Business Development opportunities / interviews with critical client safety requirements / concerns
· Participate in client meetings when required; address all safety related questions/concerns
· Assist with significant labor relations related issues as required
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
· 10+ years of construction experience and 4+ years as a Safety Supervisor or equivalent
· Thorough & diversified knowledge of construction means, methods and logistics across all work types
· Ability to train others on hazard recognition and mitigation planning for all trades in all markets
· Advanced leadership, communication, motivational skills
· Ability to oversee, coordinate and develop Safety Supervisors as well as Project Management Teams in the area of safety
· Ability to lead safety on mega-project; multiple large, complex projects
· Ability to train, assist in development of Cianbro Safety Policies & Procedures
· Full knowledge of industry / regulatory standards; ability to incorporate into company standards & trainings
· Ability to oversee and train other on Injury Management Program and procedures
· Knowledge of all available Safety PPE, ability to train others on fit testing & use
· Full knowledge of safety testing equipment, performing of testing, training others on use
· Complete understanding of company labor relations guidelines
· Complete ability to leverage internal resources\
· Full knowledge of Industrial Hygiene related to construction
