Roles & Responsibilities
As a safety manager, you will be responsible for the implementation of Safety Programs and ensuring employees are following OSHA regulations and company safety polices throughout the branch. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Complete and review accident reports and complete post drug testing
  • Complete Random job site check to ensure employees are following OSHA and PPE requirements
  • Oversee DOT training for drivers and administer pre-employment training to all new hires
  • Ensures all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion
  • Monitors safety equipment in all vehicles, and building including, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers.
  • Keep up to date records and track completion of safety trainings per all employees.
  • Provide technical support to management on safety compliance and OSHA regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Administer Safety Meetings and influences employees on the proper safety guidelines and polices
  • Assist with operations injury analysis on all accidents, and personally conduct the analysis of all serious injuries, and fatalities that may occur
Qualifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and be able to analyze the information
  • Familiar with OSHA Guidelines and procedures, OSHA Certified a plus
  • Basic Math skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Good data entry skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to drive a company vehicle.
  • Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
  • Mechanically Inclined
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, including word, excel, and outlook
Physical Demands
As a safety coordinator, this position will occasionally ascend/descends ladders, lift up to 50lbs. Able to operate a computer and basic hand tools and equipment. Able to walk, stand, stooping, kneeling, bending, couching, pushing, pulling and reaching for sustained periods of time
