Safety Coordinator Jobs

Local manufacturing company needs a Safety Technician who will make sure that Health, Safety, and Environmental policies are followed in the daily work of the plant. You will report to the EHS Manager; work closely with a unionized work force. Review, support, and enhance safety measures. This job is in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

· Provide HSE training, including FA/CPR/AED and NFPA 70E. Maintain databases about safety and trainings.

· Investigate accidents and determine root causes. Prepare reports on occurrences.

· Assist with worker’s compensation claims.

· Inspect work areas, equipment, and people to identify issues or non-conformances.

· Enforce preventative measures regarding noise levels, use of machinery

REQUIREMENTS

· Should be familiar with inspections, record-keeping, creating reports regarding safety, health, and environmental controls.

· Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards, procedures, and documentation. 10-hour OSHA Certification preferred.

· Leadership, excellent presentation and training skills; organizational and planning skills; good verbal and written communication skills.

· Should have experience providing safety training to workers.

· Good experience using computer tools including MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
