**Solid rotating equipment experience – compressors & pumps

:

This position is responsible for the discipline engineering activities and provide technical inputs to the design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of rotating equipment packages projects scope, with focus on the successful execution of project on time, within budget and in accordance with the agreed project requirements, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide technical support as part of a team working on various engineering projects (e.g., Feasibility studies for FEED and Pre-FEED projects).
• Prepare technical bid evaluations for rotating equipment packages.
• Expedite, review and comment on material requisitions, bid evaluations & vendor technical documentation for equipment items and related bulk materials.
• Design of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, blowers etc.) and development of mechanical specifications, datasheets, and technical requisitions, review vendor prints, witness equipment testing and perform shop inspection activities for equipment.
• Interface with project, client, and vendor personnel.
• Close adherence to project budget, schedule, and allocated engineering manhours.
• Familiarity with OEM’s pumps and compressor sizing software for preliminary sizing of equipment.
• Interdisciplinary check of PFDs, P&ID’s and Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation drawings.
• Implement cost savings measures in equipment sizing, baseplate design, lubrication and pump mechanical seal systems.
• Estimate rotating equipment footprint dimensions, weights, power, and utilities requirements.
• Support the preliminary and detailed engineering development of rotating equipment as required by the project.
• Generate technical clarification by interacting with vendors and suppliers to get the most optimum design according to project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
• Spearhead discipline coordination for metallurgy, piping, civil/structure, electrical, instrumentation, procurement, and project controls for rotating equipment.

Requirements/Qualification:

BS degree in mechanical engineering with over 5 years of experience working with an Engineering, Procurement and Construction company. Professional engineering registration preferred but not mandatory.

·Conversant with ASME/API/ANSI/ISO Standards.

·Good written and spoken English with good communication/interpersonal skills.

·Ability to work under pressure to deliver on schedule with quality.

·Eager to learn all available design tools and calculators to be able to help all engineering areas as needed.
