Warehouse Associate - Rotating Shifts
Ceiling Tile Manufacturing Plant - Marietta, PA
Pay rate: $24-$27 per hour
Armstrong World Industries Marietta Ceiling Plant has openings for Warehouse Associates at our ceiling tile manufacturing plant in Marietta, Pennsylvania.
Our Warehouse Associates are trained to safely operate highly automated manufacturing equipment. The plant runs continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Associates can expect to work 12 hour 4 crew rotating shifts or 8 hour 2 crew rotating shifts. Associates are eligible for shift pay, weekend premiums and overtime pay. New associates will enter into a 90 day probationary period, and upon successful completion, are able to bid on open positions. The ceiling tile manufacturing process includes mixing raw materials, running and monitoring machines that form, shape, dry, cut, size and paint the ceiling tiles and finally packaging, storing and shipping finished products to customers. Everyone must work at keeping his or her work areas and the plant, orderly, clean and safe. We celebrate safety as our most important work standard. We have well defined safety start up and shutdown operations for all equipment and we train all operators on these crucial processes.

Overview of the Work
- Perform basic operator maintenance checks on production equipment to make sure the production line is able to make quality product, safely.
- Read, understand and adhere to daily production schedules.
- Perform material handling of raw materials, Goods In Process and finished goods, safely
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the production lead or supervision.
- Make production entries into computer systems
- Perform quality inspections of products to achieve quality standards, minimize rework and contain non-conforming materials
- Ensure good housekeeping standards by keeping assigned work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
- Safely start up, operate and shutdown production equipment and periodic lockout / tag-outs to clear line jams or machine repairs.
Requirements
- Have a work record of solid job performance including good attendance, ability to work on teams and a strong focus on safety.
- High school degree or a GED, or equivalent work experience
- Know how to safely operate forklift trucks / tow motors
- Be able to lift up to 50 Ibs, on a regular, daily basis
- At least 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing environment
