Job Title: RN NICU/Peds in Iowa City, Iowa
We are seeking a clinically proficient nurse with experience in NICU and Pediatrics to join our team in Iowa City, IA. As an RN, you will be responsible for promoting and ensuring patient-centered care while integrating professional abilities for the overall planning, delivery, coordination, and evaluation of patient care.
Responsibilities:
Obtain a comprehensive admission history, perform physical assessment per unit policy, and demonstrate integrated assessment abilities.
Differentiate variations of normal and abnormal assessment findings, analyze and prioritize abnormal findings, and initiate appropriate response.
Anticipate actual or potential problems or health concerns in the hospital and/or home setting.
Administer prescribed treatments and medications promptly according to hospital policies and procedures.
Guide and provide functional supervision of ancillary staff while maintaining accountability for patient care.
Evaluate patients' responses to care and comprehension of education.
Participate in performance improvement activities and utilize recommendations in patient care delivery.
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and active nursing license - Required.
Must possess current RN licensure in the State of Iowa or compact state - Required.
Current Basic Life Support validation or successfully complete Basic Life Support (BLS) course within 6 months of hire - Required.
NRP Certification.
