We are hiring immediately for a Cybersecurity Third Party Risk Analyst – Senior, to continue the advancement of Maxar’s Cybersecurity risk management practice. We have a tightly integrated and passionate team that works together to serve our customers. This position can be performed remotely.
Your Opportunity: To continue the advancement of Maxar’s Cybersecurity risk management practice. The Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance team supports a variety of exciting business initiatives that span both the commercial and US Government space. In this role, you will be part of a team tracking and providing guidance on cybersecurity best practices as they relate to NIST/CMMC compliance and will be acting as an advocate for Cybersecurity policies and standards to directly contribute to Maxar’s amazing mission.

What you’ll do day-to-day (as a part of a best-in-class team):
- Contribute to the Cybersecurity education program, including leading training and awareness campaigns as required.
- Develop tools and techniques to streamline cybersecurity third-party risk assessments.
- Educate and build awareness of cybersecurity risk requirements across the organization.
- Document third-party cybersecurity risks supporting corporate information systems.
- Work collaboratively with business owners to maintain NIST 800-171/CMMC compliance by performing risk and control maturity assessments; targeting information systems that process, store, and transmit company and customer information.
- Provide cybersecurity risk consultation to internal teams focused on the alignment of information system design and implementation to the underlying cybersecurity control requirements.
- Provide more robustness to our existing TPR (Third-Party Risk) program and be hands-on in planning and executing TPR engagements.
- Establish categorization of third-party applications by criticality, track risks requiring remediation and set recurring risk reviews accordingly.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience performing Cybersecurity risk assessments based on common control frameworks: e.g.: NIST SP 800-171/171a, NIST SP 800-53/53a, ISO 27001
- Experience with DFARs 252.204-7012 as well as 7019, 7020 and 7021 clauses
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively present material to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Requires 3-5+ years of progressive Cybersecurity Risk Management experience.
- Experience documenting and maintaining Cybersecurity risk related guidelines, policies, and standards.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision.
- Solid skills as a negotiator to facilitate commitment to, and sign-off on, appropriate levels of residual risk from line-of-business and service owners.
- Experience working for a U.S. government prime contractor or subcontractor
- In depth knowledge of Cybersecurity risk management, technology governance, and security best practices.
- Experience leveraging GRC tools to automate third-party risk reviews; including risk register integration and workflows to track ownership and progress.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer certification related to Cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM).
- Experience analyzing business or technical problems and proposing and implementing solutions.
- Experience with third-party risk and M&A Cybersecurity assessments.
- Knowledge of networks, operating systems, applications, and cloud services.
- Strong ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and various compliance requirements; including: ISO27001, NIST, CMMC. Knowledge of OWASP/SAMM is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or four relevant years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Experience developing and delivering training and awareness material.
The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $138,000.
Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$84,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually.Maxar employees must follow all applicable Maxar policies and COVID-19 requirements as well as those of Maxar customers and third parties.
