Resort Director Of Facilities - Cavalier Resort

Overview:
The Director of Facilities is responsible for the preservation of the property’s assets (both Hotel and Food & Beverage) for the Cavalier Resort Complex in according with the property’s standards, specifications and inventories (SSI). The position develops and manages the facilities team (landscape, building envelope, pools, grounds, exterior storage, major mechanical and electrical, roofs and elevators), to include repairs and maintenance, CapX and preventative maintenance programs.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure each managed asset has a Standards, Specifications and Inventories (SSI) plan and property is maintaining the goals and objectives set out in each property’s SSI plan.
2. Audit and report on each property’s Engineering Department performance and adherence to operating plans and related standard operating procedures.
3. Create and or maintain Reserve for Replacement plans for each managed asset and obtain approval for same during the annual business process.
4. Manage CapX and RFR projects for projects for the Cavalier Resort properties.
5. Develop monthly asset combination reports as it relates to Facilities and Engineering Departments’ performance and standards.
6. Hire, train and hold Associates accountable to deliver consistent service in Engineering to meet business plan commitments.
7. Responsible for all maintenance and 3rd party contracts for major systems at the Cavalier Resorts including: HVAC, Refrigeration, Fire, Power/Generators, Elevator, trash compactors and pools, roofs, exteriors, facades, and landscaping.
8. Ensure responsible financial management of the company’s assets at all times including accuracy of the RFR Plan, PM Program, Work order management system, checkbook and major mechanical contracts.
9. Speak to financial results/productivity of the Engineering Department.
10. Conduct daily visual inspection of the property assessing compliance to owner expectations, PHR standards, and brand standards.
11. Execute the Engineering Operating Plans to ensure predictability and consistency. Proactively anticipate and drive guest/service satisfaction and conduct root cause analysis of evaluate gaps in service delivery and initiate corrective action or recommend changes to operating/business plans.
12. Serves as the liaison to Development as needed for any construction expertise or warranty information.
13. Ensure all Human Resource practices and policies are adhered to at properties with the Director of Human Resources to include recruitment, employment matters, training, etc.
14. Communicate punctually and proactively with the Managing Director on Business Plans, personnel changes, asset issues and any other significant concerns through structured. weekly 1-1 meetings
15. Perform Emergency Response duties as required for this role in the Emergency Response Organizational Chart and Plan.
16. Lead special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested.

Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required, Master degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years experience in Engineering, Facility Management or related discipline in a commercial or hospitality environment. Previous experience managing multiple property locations as a facility manager, engineering manager or property manager required. Professional certification/designation preferred.
