We provide emergency and crisis intervention, emergency shelter, counseling, and support services to domestic and sexual violence victims. - Maintain ongoing, positive communication and collaborative efforts within the community
- Facilitate residential support groups
- Compile, maintain, and report statistical data as required and necessary
- Provide crisis intervention and support services for adult victims of domestic and sexual violence
- Answer crisis phone lines
- Assist families in acclimating to residential living.
- Provide advocacy and education as related to the service plan
- Assist clients in applying for Crime Victims Compensation
- Attend training to increase knowledge and skills
- Participate as a member of client-related committees and meetings
- Develop individualized service plans
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of client records
- Experience in residential services preferred
- The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment background screening and drug testing
- Knowledge and experience with family dynamics, domestic violence, and sexual assault issues preferred
- Able and willing to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
- Able to climb stairs
- Able to safely operate agency equipment and machines
- Ability to be non-judgmental and work with a diverse population,
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in social work or associated field, with some related work experience
- Able and willing to travel
- Crisis intervention skills
- Able to lift 20 pounds on occasion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Group facilitation skills
