Research Technician Jobs

The Research Technician will assist Professor Brian Joseph with the cataloguing and scanning of materials on the Kefallonia island dialect of Greek. Research Greek names of ancient tribes and explore primary and secondary texts for references to various aspects of the life and location of these ancient tribes, including their art, their monuments, their customs, their religion, their foods, their clothing, their leaders, their allies, their enemies, their neighbors, their language, and the like. Enter data found on the ancient tribes into project website, working on format and design and layout of the data. Maintain Excel spreadsheet with data on ancient tribes and update the laboratory website as needed.
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Qualifications
One year of relevant experience is required. Background in Classics, in Ancient Greek language and culture, in ancient history, in archaeology, and in historical conservation, along with good internet search skills and experience with website design and Microsoft Excel.
The pay range for this job profile is $13.89-$18.51. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
