Job Description

The Culinary Technician perform all the tasks necessary to produce delicious edibles from various recipes including preparation, cooking, sanitation, inventory and packaging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Work with Analytical Lab to submit samples for internal and external testing.
  • Ensure 100% compliance through proper labeling and METRC transactions.
  • Update monthly production schedule with daily reconciliation against plan and review.
  • Understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
  • Adherence to all GMP, HACCP and Quality Assurance protocols within culinary areas.
  • Cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen.
  • Accurately prepare ingredients, workstations and equipment for production.
  • Assist R&D with the development of new products, recipes and optimization of the production process prior to launch.
  • Prepare proper dosages by batch and communicate to the team effectively.
  • Prepares edibles in a sanitary and timely manner.

Schedule

Monday through Friday; 6:00AM-2:30PM – subject to change

Relevant Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to create recipes from scratch with a knowledge of how processes and ingredients can impact each other.
  • Previous Culinary & Kitchens experience required
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Capabilities with computer systems, software, and hardware common to kitchen operations and production environment as well as recordkeeping procedures.
  • Effective time-management and ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks and requests.
  • Passionate about the importance of medical marijuana.
  • Ability to work as a team member, be organized and have extreme attention to detail.
  • Serve Safe certification preferred.
  • Associates Degree in culinary arts preferred which a focus in pastry or confections preferred.
  • Proficient math and measuring skills.
  • At least 21 years of age or older

Physical Requirements:

  • Required to routinely lift 40 - 45 pounds.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Some crouching or holding uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be capable of performing repetitive tasks for an extended period of time
  • Ability to observe and assess material that deviates from established company standards
  • Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to perform manual labor tasks
  • Long periods of prolonged standing and sitting

Work Environment:

  • Sanitary manufacturing/warehousing environment.
  • Occasional exposure to automation and equipment noise within OSHA-regulated levels.
  • Constant interaction with internal and external stakeholders
