Laboratory Technician
PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team who would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located in our Toledo Refinery in Oregon, OH.

• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests, such as viscosity, flash point, and distillation, to determine the quality and characteristics of petroleum products.
• Accurately record test results, analyze data, and prepare reports for management review.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during testing.

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must have the ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to closely follow procedures and guidelines, and able to effectively communicate the need for any deviation.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and recording results.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to use mathematics (including algebra) to solve problems required.
