POSITION PURPOSE
The Collaborative Health Studies Coordinating Center (CHSCC) in the Department of Biostatistics is seeking a full-time data analyst/statistical programmer to join our collaborative research team. The CHSCC coordinates several large-scale cohort studies, primarily in cardiovascular epidemiology research, and enjoys an excellent reputation for design, coordination, and biostatistical analysis of such studies. This position is primarily with the Kidney Precision Medicine Project (KPMP) but will also support other studies active at the CHSCC. The person in this position will program visualizations of safety and quality control reports to share with study stakeholders. The statistician will also participate in epidemiologic research by actively engaging in data analysis for publication.
This position requires a solid understanding of epidemiological principles and biostatistics. The person in this position will need to have a high degree of organizational ability, interest in working in varying subject areas, and strong analytic skills.
The KPMP project is a high profile and important project for UW, and this COVID project contributes to public health in an important way during the pandemic.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics or epidemiology, with related 2-3 years of epidemiologic research experience. Equivalent experience may substitute for degree.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
