Job Description

Responsibilities

The Sarthy Lab is looking for a qualified research scientist to provide support for daily laboratory operations and assist in multiple research projects. Our research focuses on cancer epigenetics with specific focus on understanding how protein-DNA interactions have gone awry in pediatric cancers. We apply cutting-edge methods to identify epigenetic changes driving high-risk cancers including lymphomas, leukemias, and solid tumors. Related to this work, we are also exploring how to make chemotherapeutic regimens safer for children with cancer. We believe that an understanding of fundamental biological processes is critical to understanding how pediatric cancers form and to identify new treatments. We are a genomics-focused lab and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn powerful new methods for profiling cancer epigenomics including single cell CUT&Tag and our high-throughput CUT&RUN platform.
