The mission of our AML team is to push next-generation recommendation-based algorithms and platform for the company. We also drive substantial impact for core businesses of the company. Currently, we are looking for Research Scientists to join our team to support and advance that mission.

Responsibilities

• Mentor interns and new graduates for research.
• Conduct cutting-edge research in recommendation related problems, and apply the technology to different business scenarios.
• Drive new technological innovation and land to real recommendation products
• Improve core recommendation algorithm.

Qualifications

• Good communication and technical leadership skills, able to mentor new graduates for working on short term applied research projects.
• Familiar with at least one of the mainstream deep learning frameworks, like TensorFlow, Pytroch or Jax; familiar with their underlying frameworks and implementation mechanisms.
• Published papers at top conferences like ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, RecSys and KDD.
• Had experience of improving core recommendation algorithms in real products.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with the parallelization of sparse FTRL, FFM, and deep models on large-scale coefficient data.
• Familiar with reinforcement learning or graph neural network.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136800 - $280000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
