Research Assistant, Women's and Gender Studies Program - Georgetown University College of Arts and Sciences
Georgetown’s
Women and Gender Studies Program
provides an interdisciplinary, critical, feminist, and cross-cultural understanding of women, gender, and power in a global context. Focusing on the interactions and intersections of race, class, (dis)ability, gender, and sexuality, Women’s and Gender Studies fosters the generations of knowledge about gender and sexuality in all its diversity and encourages the critical interrogation of traditional academic disciplines.
Job Overview
The Research Assistant supports research for diversity, equity, and inclusion – which will include annotated bibliography, data analysis, reviewing assigned texts, writing draft research reports.
Work Interactions
Reportingly directly to, and working solely for, Dr. Nadia Brown, Professor of Government and Director of WGST, the Research Assistant teleworks and reports in person on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and enrolled in a graduate program
  • Research experience - with knowledge of writing research reports, annotated bibliographies and data analysis
Preferred qualification
Advanced research and computer skills
