Must Have:
- 5-10 years or more of proven Technical Data Analyst Experience
- Strong experience working with Alteryx- this is a main tool at Ryder
- Strong experience working in an Agile environment, daily standups etc.
- Very strong experience with SQL (expert level SQL), VBA (data pulls, reporting development, scripts, etc.)
- Experience working with very large data sets, can lead the best way to get that data manipulated
- Strong experience working cross functionally - collaboration with supply chain users is essential
- Excellent communication, self-starter – ability to take initiative
Plus:
- Nice to have PowerBI data visualization development
- Strong understanding of Flat Files and how they work, FTP & SFTP (or Secure File Transfer Protocol)
- Experience in Supply Chain with Inventory Management, Logistics and Warehousing
Day to Day:
We are now recruiting a Senior Technical Data Analyst to join our diverse Automation Team in DTS (Dedicated Transportation Solutions). The Supply Chain Data Analyst is central and dedicated analytics point of contact for IPL and SC management, 3PLs, carriers, and consultants within global operations. The analyst synthesizes and leverages datasets based on modeling with process knowledge around planning, distribution, warehousing and logistics and its interdependencies. This individual will present results to management and business partners to support making high-impact business value decisions. This individual will engage with the business and IT on (data) governance to make sure that Data and Business Processes are aligned, with high-performance and agile processes as result. They will closely collaborate and build effective relationships with team and business partners to understand the data and related improvement needs of the business. Continuously searches for innovative ways to drive awareness on data driven opportunities and will be recognized as a key member in the analytics/data science area within supply chain domain. A successful candidate will have expert level SQL skills and is highly skilled with Alteryx. One example is that a retail customer could have several different location codes for their transportation, if we find those are incorrect in our Database we may have to update all the location codes – there will be a variety of different data related work required.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Drives analytics for supply chain and transportation optimization by collaborating with cross functional teams
· Support key strategic initiatives and process improvements with analytics contributions
· Understand market trends and assess impacts with regards to supply chain operations.
