We are a digital solutions company in the water industry that provides advanced acoustic water leak detection and pipe condition assessment solutions. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Sales Manager to join our growing team located in the western US to develop and grow our utility business.

Job description
The Regional Sales Manager-West position is a key player in our success, making this role a vital component of our company’s growth. You will help grow our sales in the western US, through identifying and developing opportunities with water utilities / municipalities looking to reduce their Non-Revenue Water Loss (NRW) through distribution partners as well as direct engagement with utilities. Prior experience, (preferrable 3 years) with water utilities and Internet-of-Things (IOT), digital or software-based solution is a key prerequisite for this job opportunity.
This position will cover multiple states and includes travel more than 50% of the time. You will be reporting to the NAM VP Sales and Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Assist in running project pilots
- Manage relationship with distributors and customers
- Generate and manage sales opportunities
- Participate and represent the company in global conferences & exhibitions
Requirements
- Positive attitude, empathy, and extremely high energy.
- Applicants based in California or Arizona are preferred.
- Proven ability to maintain relationships with a diverse cultural customer account base.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- English as mother tongue. Additional languages - an advantage
- A natural presenter who is comfortable explaining the benefits of a digital technology solution.
- Passion for water and a strong desire to develop and grow your territory.
- Powerful desire and ability to learn modern technologies.
- Technical aptitude and waterworks understanding.
- Leak Detection experience preferable, water industry experience needed.
- Great interpersonal and human-centric skills, especially in dealing with customers and distributors.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
- Ability to travel to >50% of the time.
- Driver’s licensewith clean driving record.
- A minimum of 3+ years’ sales experience in the water utility space in an Internet-of-Things (IOT), digital or software-based solution is a must.
- Demonstrated cold-calling success and history of growing a territory.
