SURF Music is a digital marketplace ecosystem for music creators and buyers across the global entertainment industry. Our mission is to bring power back to the creators. In 2023, we were selected as an SXSW Innovation Awards Finalist in the Media category.


Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a GM of United States at SURF Music. The General Manager of United States will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations in the United States, including sales, marketing, and business development. The GM will also be responsible for strengthening relationships with existing customers and partners, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.


Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis, strategy development, and budget management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with demonstrated experience managing remote teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Passion for music and the entertainment industry
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue and growth targets, and driving business development in the United States
  • Strong understanding of the entertainment industry, with a focus on music and digital marketplaces
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development, with at least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role
