Regional Sales Manager
Territory: IL – IN – MO
Position: Full time

Located in Shelbyville, KY, Jeptha Creed Distillery uses old-fashioned methods to meet today’s demanding modern tastes. We use only the finest ingredients, locally grown and sourced to ensure our products meet the highest expectations for quality and flavor. Owned and operated by dynamic mother and daughter duo Joyce and Autumn Nethery, Jeptha Creed sits on 64 acres of farmland, where we grow the Bloody Butcher Corn used for all of our products, including vodka, brandy, and bourbon.
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be expected to successfully achieve the corporate objectives, within your geographic area of responsibility. The geographic area of responsibility includes all of Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. The Regional Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in all aspects of the business including:
- Personally calling on accounts in MO/IL/IN to promote and educate
- Working with distributor sales teams in all channels of trade
- Proper management of financial budgets and sales goals
- Management of distributor network
- Development and implementation of business plan
This position requires a solid understanding of the beverage alcohol business as well as excellent selling, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws as well as company policies
- Successfully implement the business plans with the distributors and ensure the objectives (volume, distribution, pricing strategy) are achieved.
- Play an active role with the distributor and “suggested” pricing in order to ensure our brands are not at a competitive disadvantage in the marketplace
- Build and maintain relationships with existing distributors, brokers, and liquor control boards to develop mutually beneficial partnerships
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of our products in order to effectively communicate and educate
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol marketing and promotion regulations
- Ensure all financial budgets are utilized in an appropriate and legal manner
- Conduct sales meetings with distributors as necessary
- Provide requested information as well as market-related intelligence to the Director of Sales and Marketing on a timely basis
- Develop business plans that contain objectives consistent with the company’s go-to-market strategy and goals
- Maintain a system that analyzes current performance against volume and financial objectives and take corrective action when needed
Competencies

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite required
- Critical thinking, diverse thinking, and problem-solving skills required
- High-level verbal communication skills required
- Experience with G-Suite preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills required
- Must be willing and able to travel or work evenings as the job requires
- Demonstrated familiarity with spirits media required
- Solid analytical skills and professional sales and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with the spirits industry required
- High-level writing and editing skills required
Education and Experience
- Proven track record of successful brand growth, such as activations, marketing campaigns, events, partnerships
- 2 years of sales experience in the spirits industry
- Proven record of managing distributors and building brands
- Bachelor’s degree required
