ABA Centers of America provides ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy and diagnostic services to people with autism. We help clients and families in our centers, in homes, and in the community. Our company began with one person trying to get help for two young family members with autism. Now our goal is to bring ABA therapy to as many clients as possible. Our clinics are in multiple locations, and we are expanding rapidly but with careful attention to planning and resources. Client care is at the center of everything we do.

The Regional Director of People Experience will initially support our New Jersey and Pennsylvania areas with the potential to support additional areas in the future. This position will report to the Vice President of People Experience and be at the forefront of helping us grow and support our centers.
The proper candidate will partner with internal stakeholders providing guidance on the full employment life cycle, including talent acquisition and retention, employee relations, policy and procedure implementation and interpretation, employee-related concerns, process improvement, and strategies supporting business growth. We need a leader in this area to create and drive a positive culture that matches organizational values.
What You'll Do
- Advise on the execution of the organization’s human resources and talent strategies
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Assist with management of company benefits
- Perform site visits to centers and be willing to travel (minor amount) as necessary
- Collaborate and support team members and managers on day-to-day issues
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures across multiple entities
- Manage regional culture and team-member wellness
- Manage onboarding procedures
- Assist with bi-annual performance review process
- Set performance standards for, manage, and evaluate local People Experience team members
- Provide guidance and oversight to stakeholders on employee-related issues, including reasonable accommodations, employee counseling meetings, employment terminations, and internal investigations
- Manage division’s budget
- Support learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities and career planning for team members
Education, Work Experience, and Other Requirements
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Willingness to submit to drug and background screenings
- SHRM or HRCI designation preferred
- 10+ years of experience in Human Resources
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field (required) Master’s degree preferred
Expertise Needed
- Ability to provide effective guidance and leadership to diverse groups of individuals
- Understanding of and management of full employment life cycle
- Proven work experience as a Regional HR Director or similar role
- Thorough knowledge of employment labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Self-motivation and a “can-do” attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to take on an increasing level of responsibility
- Budget-management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems and Human Resources Management Software
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
