We have an immediate need for a Recycling Laborer to be responsible for assisting visitors, monitoring the placement of recyclables into proper containers, and maintaining a safe and clean facility.
In a typical workday the Recycling Laborer can be expected to do the following:
  • Assists customers, processes material in the facility.
  • Operate state bed vehicles and back them to loading dock areas.
  • Clean recycling building by sweeping, picking up loose paper debris, or moving barrels and bins.
  • Operate computer and standard office equipment.
  • Coordinate recycling collection schedules to optimize service and efficiency.
  • Collect and organize metals, paper, cardboard, electronics, toner and batteries to their appropriate containers
  • Collect recyclable materials from buildings for delivery to the recycling center.
  • Operate balers to compress recyclable materials into bundles or bales.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, or front-end loaders to load bales, bundles, or other heavy items onto trucks for shipping to other recycled materials processing facilities.
  • Record logs of recycled materials.
Top candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience and a valid driver's license with acceptable history.
Work Environment And Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work may vary from moderate to high
  • Occasionally work in high, precarious places

  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Frequently required to walk
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
  • Frequently required to sit
  • Frequently exposure to outside weather conditions
  • The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 100 pounds
  • Frequently required to stand
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
Field And Site Work
  • Mobilization and demobilization of field programs
  • Site walks and inspections
  • Field Operations
