A leading University is seeking a Recruiter. The successful candidate will support the recruiting needs for University Human Resources focusing on filling positions in business/finance, IT, employee labor relations, and other areas of HR. The ideal candidate has recruiting, sourcing, and interviewing experience. The company offers a great work environment!


Recruiter Pay And Benefits


  • 20 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment
  • Worksite: Leading University (Redwood City, CA 94063 - Hybrid)
  • W2 Employment, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • Hourly pay: $60/hr


Recruiter Responsibilities


  • Set hiring manager expectations, develop and execute service level agreements for individual positions, provide weekly reports to hiring managers
  • Ensure candidates have a positive experience regardless of the outcome of the hiring process and contribute to developing a strong employer brand
  • Provide guidance and tools to managers throughout the search process, including how to conduct interviews and extend offers.
  • Understand hiring manager’s business and organization, as well as their specific technical and cultural environments to best match candidates to positions.
  • Manage multiple searches simultaneously with attention to meeting internal customer's deadlines and requirements
  • Cultivate pools of diverse potential candidates for future openings.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation is maintained concerning all phases of the recruitment process, including equal employment opportunity statistics, and is in compliance with state and federal laws, contractual obligations, and university guidelines.
  • Recruit, screen, interview, and recommend external and/or internal candidates for all levels of jobs, including support and hourly, professional and technical, and management positions.
  • Be the primary point person for a hiring manager providing full lifecycle recruiting including helping with writing job descriptions, sourcing candidates, interviewing, and reference checking.
  • Partner with hiring managers and local HR staff to determine basic requirements and qualifications of positions to develop job postings, candidate profiles, and selection criteria.


Recruiter Qualifications


  • Highly-developed interviewing and presentation skills.
  • Recruiting, sourcing, and interviewing experience.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • In-depth experience with web-based systems and recruiting sources, including the internet, social media, warm/cold calling, referrals, events, networking, publications, industry groups/associations, and job fairs.
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal employment laws applicable to the hiring of employees, including affirmative action and equal employment opportunity requirements.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.


Recruiter Shift


  • Monday to Friday - 20 hours per week.
  • Hours per day are negotiable. Probably 4 hours Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and 8 hours on Tuesdays; off on Fridays.


Compensation: From $60.00 to $60.00 per hour
