Description

What you’ll do:

  • Greet and log in and out visitors by following established risk and security policies and procedures. Call appropriate employees to meet the visitor in the reception area. Create visitor badge for visitor. All visitors are required to wear a visitor badge while they are at SHAZAM.
  • Answer quickly and courteously all incoming telephone calls, routing them to the appropriate person and/or department.
  • Identity and log physical security incidents into local incident tracker.
  • Ensure cleanliness of reception area.
  • Provide clerical assistance on specific tasks as requested by departments ie: computer input, access and retrieval, filing, sorting, purging, mail processing.
  • Function as mailroom backup, performing all daily mailroom duties and activities in a professional, accurate and prompt manner.

By the end of your first year with us – you’ll have had the opportunity to not only act within the “standard” receptionist role greeting and screening visitors in a professional manner, providing badges and allowing access to only authorized visitors, but also have had the opportunity to go beyond this by assisting in the security of our facilities, our employees, and our customers.

What we’re looking for:

Education : Work requires skills acquired through general high school education or its equivalent.

Experience : Minimum one year office experience and telephone console experience helpful. Microsoft Office Suite, EasyLobby and Avigilon experience helpful.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, energetic and fast-paced environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
  • Ability to use, send, receive, sort and deliver facsimile documents to recipient upon receipt.
  • Ability to provide friendly, cordial and pleasant greeting.
  • Ability to perform precise paperwork, review documentation, and to perform computer inputting, access and retrieval for long periods of time.
  • Ability to think independently and provide self-direction, solve various problems and make informed, rational decisions.
  • Ability to answer a multi-line telephone for hours at a time, routing 300+ calls per day.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of a large amount of daily telephone calls that must be routed quickly, accurately, and courteously.
  • Ability to communicate via the telephone, company instant messaging program, in person and through correspondence with customers and other employees.

Annual salary starting at $41,600 to 45,200*

  • Actual compensation will be based upon factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
