Position: Receiving Specialist
Division: GMLx, Tier 1, Spine Operations
Location: Norcross, GA (on-site)
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
This role will report directly to the Operations Manager and will have no direct reports. The receiving specialist performs clerical and manual/physical duties related to the preparation, inspection, receiving and shipment of various medical device products. Will coordinate and execute all pick, pack, ship and inventory activities to each customer's standards and requirements. This is a great entry level position for a recent graduate with a Supply Chain/Logistics program of study/degree.
Scope of Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare records of inventory shortages and shipments with timely and accurate communication to the sales field team.
- Meet established metrics for operations (i.e. service levels).
- Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse to meet OSHA and FDA regulations.
- Keep records of all interactions and transactions of data regarding product and inventory inquires.
- Use computer equipment and software to enter, access, retrieve data.
- Reviews and verifies outgoing orders for accuracy.
- Ensure that shipping and receiving requirements/schedules are met as specified by the customers’ or the company’s standards.
- Ensure SOP compliance, delivery performance, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Receives incoming orders and diligently checks products for quality before signing to accept.
- Dispose of damaged, defective, or obsolete products through proper regulatory and quality procedures.
· Understand and implement procedures to manage inventory shelf life and expiring inventory.
· Store items orderly and easily accessible in warehouse based on protocol.
- Assist with inventory counts when needed.
- Perform or assist with other duties and projects as needed or assigned.
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Works with a sense of urgency, able & willing to go above & beyond.
- Able to work varying hours/shifts as necessary to include occasional/rotating weekends.
- Logistics or Supply Chain previous experience in a warehouse environment is strongly preferred.
- Highly developed communication (written and verbal) skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Supply Chain/Logistics degree or program of study is preferred.
- Customer focused, must work well with customers of all levels/backgrounds.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to access and navigate the warehouse facility.
- Standing, sitting, lifting & moving for extended amounts of time.
- Moderate to heavy physical activity. Lifting of at least 50 pounds.
Other Details:
- During the training process, the daily work schedule may begin as early as 8am. However, the standard schedule will be 9am - 6pm with rotating on-call weekends (approximately 1 per month).
