Job Description
Overview Of The Position


The Receiving Inspection Lead will lead the receiving team in prioritizing tasks, collaborating, and meeting department metrics. The ideal candidate will be flexible to changing situations and able to remain focused on daily metrics, despite interruptions, to ensure team meets daily goals.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Reports daily metrics in specified formats/files.
  • Research and make corrections in M3 when required.
  • Ensures that NCMs (Non-Conforming Materials) are entered into M3 daily as required.
  • Performs all the duties of a Receiving Inspector and serves as a backup Inspector as required.
  • Manages and directs daily activities of the Receiving Inspection department including prioritizing Hot List/Backorder receipts monitors and adjusts priorities throughout the day to ensure departmental metrics are achieved.
  • Ensures area is maintained in an orderly, logical manner at all times with all inventory readily identifiable.
  • Supervises Receiving Inspection Team and advises management of concerns over callouts, vacation, PTO, etc.

Education / Experience Requirements


Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of two years in a directly related aerospace inspection background. Previous Lead experience.

Language Skills


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning Ability


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Physical Demands And Work Environment


The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Light manufacturing and packaging materials present in warehouse and shop.
  • Is occasionally required to life up to 40 pounds.
  • Works in a combination of office & warehouse environment.
  • Have clear vision (correctable to 20/25) at 14 inches and the ability to identify and distinguish colors in at least one eye.
