Job Description


  • Operates forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping/receiving platform to storage or work area. Also, unloads incoming trucks and load outgoing trucks. Willing to train.
  • Advises office of shipment information (customer name, part number, quantity, traveler number, number of pallets, weight) to facilitate document creation.
  • Prepares pallets/crates as needed for transport.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments.
  • Pulls product from inventory per orders to prepare for shipping. Places product into inventory once completed off production line and inspected.
  • Assembles containers or selects preassembled containers and packs product accordingly. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons/crates.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
