Primary Function of Position

The Quality Inspection Technician works under general direction and follows oral and/or written instruction to conduct review on final assemblies, sub-assemblies, line builds and incoming materials. This position requires a highly-motivated team player to support quality control screening for training models and components used with surgical robotic systems, instruments and accessories. This position will help identify potential quality issues and work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality teams to correct and verify issues.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist R&D Engineering during introduction of new training models.
  • Assist QEs and MEs in product quality investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Propose updates to WIs for clarification and process improvements.
  • Prepare production updates as related to quality and present during meetings.
  • Create quality reports and present data during engineering walkthroughs.
  • Assist QEs in data mining and reports preparation
  • Follow all corporate, safety, production procedures and regulations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on product flow prioritization.
  • Conduct training on model builds and maintain training records.
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record in compliance with established Quality and Manufacturing guidelines.
  • Conduct inspections and document results as required for materials incoming, in-process, sub-assemblies, and finished models.
  • Manage projects and special assignments from Management.
  • Initiate, lead and implement efficiency and process improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and understand English. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, supervisors, or engineers.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and varying shifts.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Education and/or Experience: Minimum High school diploma or equivalent; minimum seven years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in use of personal computers as part of daily work, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1:$64,600 - $87,400
Base Salary Range Region 2: $54,900 - $74,300
Shift: Day
Travel: 10% of the time
Workplace Type: Onsite - This job is fully onsite.
