Real Estate Accounting/Associate Property Manager

This role contributes to NFPA’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic initiatives by representing the company as the point of contact with tenants over lease, billing or escalator questions. Provides prompt customer support for tenant issues throughout park. Prepares and monitor monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial tenant accounts, Budgets and forecasts, operating and tax escalator roll ups. Responsible for the selection, auditing of services and coordination of assigned park-wide vendors.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strong ability to multitask and produce timely work product.
• Maintains and communicates the rules of occupancy; understands lease language, assists brokers with showings and inspecting vacant units, overall working closely as part of the Real Estate team for maintenance, and marketing promotion.
• Coordinates a variety of projects and different requests simultaneously.
• Manages Real Estate Accounting process for Batterymarch Park in Quincy, MA. Design and implement systems to monitor and follow up on monthly tenant billings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing issues, escalator roll ups, FASB, budget preparation and forecasting. Unit (suite) creation and lease data input to billing system (JD Edwards) for lease life cycle.
• Supervise; bid, monitor and audit assigned park-wide vendors by establishing goals, priorities, processes and auditing of services. e.g. cleaning, landscaping, shuttle services
• Deliver high degree of customer service and communication to both tenant customers and NFPA staff.
• Supervise assigned capital projects to deliver product/service on time and within budget.
• Maintains property by proactively completing property tours, investigating and resolving tenant and maintenance issues.

• College degree preferred
• Strong excel skills.
• 5-7 years related experience, proven real estate accounting and property management experience in commercial properties.
• NetSuite experience, a plus.
