Radiology Technician - Public Health - Tb Clinic

Performs the duties of a digital radiology technologist.
Grant funded.

1.Sets up x-rays for examination, takes x-rays of patients, and records results.
2.Operates, maintains, calibrates and adjusts specialized equipment.
3.Coordinates client services with appropriate professional and/or specialty clinic.
4.Maintains and/or creates files or record keeping systems. Sorts, labels, files and retrieves documents, or other materials.
5.Types and prepares reports or other written materials from source documents, transcription, etc.
6.Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available. Orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies for clinic.
7.Cleans, sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment.
8.Coordinates an inventory management system to effectively control and distribute supplies and equipment.
9.Ensures equipment, supplies and work areas are maintained and sanitized in compliance with health standards.
10.Performs all other related duties as assigned.

TO APPLY, must have a High School Diploma, GED or higher education + Two (2) full-time years of experience.
TO APPLY, must possess a valid Texas Driver's license.
TO APPLY, must be a certified radiology technician.
TO APPLY, must be CPR certified.
Effective communications skills to deal with general public on a daily basis; personal computer experience and ability to handle several tasks at once.
Ability to handle several tasks at once and work without constant supervision.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, lift, push and pull, and drive a motor vehicle on a regular basis.
