Our Radiologic Tech's (Imaging Technologists) are represented by NE H SEIU 1199NW UWMC Northwest Professional.
UW PRIMARY CARE-WOODINVILLE - has an outstanding project for a RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST (Imaging Technologist) Primary Care Team in Woodinville. THIS IS 40-HOUR PER WEEK TERMED PROJECT ANTICIPATED THROUGH JULY 31st, 2023.

UW Primary Care is a network of 16-Community-based clinics throughout the Puget Sound region. Our clinics offer a wide spectrum of primary care ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Urgent care services are offered seven days a week at six of our locations. Our clinics are staffed with compassionate and professional providers, healthcare workers, and administrative staff, and are consistently recognized for high quality standards by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care and the National Committee for Quality Assurance Patient-Centered Medical Home Program.
Within UW Primary Care, our Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures, and cross-train to perform certain lab procedures, as directed by the clinic provider. They contribute greatly to meeting our Primary Care patient's needs, and toward the development and evaluation of radiology processes and procedures in order to ensure compliance with all UW Medicine and regulatory practicing standards.
INCLUDED RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares patients for radiological procedures. Verifies the site of the exam and instructs patients regarding procedures.
  • Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures. Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis.
  • Provides protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Examines radiology images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
  • Delivers images to PACS for reading/ interpretation by providers and UW Radiologists
  • Maintains radiology room Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies.
  • Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiological equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • REQUIREMENTS
    Must possess a current Licensed Radiologic Technogist Certrification with the WA Dept. and have completed (not pending or in process) formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry.
    BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training course and 8 hours of AIDS education.
  • At least one year of experience as a radiologic technologist
  • Demonstrated computer experience, preferably in a Windows-based environment.
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical laboratory and/or phlebotomy experience
