Quantitative Researcher (Founding Partner)

We are looking for a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual to join our team as a Founding Partner and Quantitative Researcher. You will work closely with the rest of the team to develop and implement trading strategies in the renewable energy and fossil fuel markets. Candidates should have a strong academic background in mathematics, statistics, physics, or a related field. No extensive industry experience is required, but a passion for finance, markets, and data analysis is a must. Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and optimize quantitative trading models and strategies
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to quantitative trading
• Collaborate with other team members, including Traders, Risk Managers, and Operations/Technology Specialists, to implement trading strategies and manage risk
• Monitor and analyze market data, trends, and news to inform trading decisions
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of trading strategies and make adjustments as needed
• Conduct quantitative research and data analysis to identify trading opportunities in renewable energy and fossil fuel markets
• Generate reports and presentations to communicate research findings and trading strategies to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of renewable energy and fossil fuel markets is a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in working with large datasets and conducting research using market data and financial databases
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB
• Knowledge of statistical concepts, time-series analysis, and machine learning techniques commonly used in quantitative trading
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field
• Strong experience in quantitative research and data analysis, preferably in the financial markets
