Quality Supervisor-Quality Assurance

We are immediately hiring a Quality Assurance Supervisor for our Purina Animal Nutrition manufacturing facility. This position gives you the opportunity to be the head of all of our quality programs, ensuring safe animal feed is produced in a manufacturing environment.


You will report directly to the Plant Manager. Our QA practices are housed in our QMS (Quality Management System). Following these practices, you will be able to implement new policies as regulations change as well as maintain existing practices. You will also interact with the production staff, providing coaching and training on quality standards, HACCP, and other regulatory initiatives. You will also lead continuous improvement projects and also provide root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve issues.

Experience-Education (Required):

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance in feed, food or related fields of operation (if Bachelors Degree no experience required)
  • Bachelors Degree in Feed Science or related field preferred

Competencies-Skills (Required):

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of FDA and other applicable regulatory agencies SOP's preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements to include HACCP, GMP's.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal/training/coaching skills
  • Ability to be insightful and act strategically and also tactically.
  • Possess integrity in products, processes, and relationships.
  • Analytical problem solving/root cause analysis .
