The Manager, Quality Assurance will own the delivery and integration of test automation tools and is focused on improving developer productivity, software quality, performance, and stability. This role will assist in driving to deliver high quality applications through governing adherence to defined standards, execution excellence, identifying opportunities for improvement and coaching teams to realize them.

Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Quality Assurance Manager position is completed 100% remotely anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Other duties as assigned by Manager
• Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability and maintainability.
• Identifying areas for the team to improve code coverage, reduce manual steps needed to validate data correctness and define acceptable quality levels.
• Accountable for the overall testing practice of a business domain including QA signoff and pre-production reviews.
• Define test strategies focused on the overall quality of the product and speed of releases.
• Manages a team of employees and contractors responsible for delivering QA activities.
• Drives the Automation of manual verification processes for product releases.
• Assist or lead code reviews and defect remediation for code deployed into production.
• Responsible for the utilization of static code and dynamic code analysis to identify performance and maintenance concerns.
• Recommend improvements into overall best practices, design, testability and quality and productivity.

SUPERVISION:

• This position would directly manage employees and will have oversight of consulting resources

RELATIONSHIPS

• External: This position will interact with vendors evaluating technologies and aligning with internal strategy as well as evaluating performance of vendor products including contractors, consultants, software and services
• Internal: This position will interact across the organization. Would need to be comfortable and capable of presenting to SVPs / VPs in the field and in functions, as well as working with SMEs across the organization.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Remote: This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong organizational, presentation, technical documentation, and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to solve problems with creative solutions
• 5+ years' experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in data
• Experience leading quality assurance best practices and implementing testing automation
• Experience building a team and product from the ground up, working with business and project team to develop roadmap
• High degree of initiative and capacity to lead multiple priorities of significant scope in a fast-paced environment
• 3+ years of hands-on leadership and people management experience, preferably leading team in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage adversity and challenging situations

EDUCATION

• BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in a distributed team of onshore / offshore engineering resources.
• Experience defining high-level test automation strategy based on Continuous Testing best practices. Experience driving organizational change with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manages quality/test challenges at the team level, providing guidance, training, technical support and mentorship.

• Passion for high-quality code, tests, CI/CD, documentation, and addressing recurring problems with software solutions.
• Experience with IBM Mainframe or Tandem Non-Stop, and ERP systems and processes is preferred.

• Standard required physical activities including length of time performing each activity.

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $89,300 and $133,000. In New York City, the expected compensation for this role is between $105,400 and $150,000. In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $100,100 and $140,000. In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $100,100 and $140,000 . This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
