What do we need?
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our growing Quality Assurance division. The Director, Quality Assurance, is responsible for leading and executing quality management and review through an enterprise audit, scoring, and feedback program. While leading a team of quality assurance specialists, the Director ensures that all quality assurance procedures, metrics, reports, and data are gathered, managed, and reported within rubric standards and protocols. This role partners with Operations, Transformation, Human Resources, and other organizational departments and leaders to identify trends in areas of achievement and needs for development to support Aspirion’s ability to provide service excellence to our clients.
What will you Provide?
- Develops protocols, standards, and testing methods through partnership with operations and client delivery leaders
- Contributes to team effort of accomplishing related results though collaboration, open communication, and timely feedback
- Institutes appeal, rebuttal, and feedback standards through ongoing protocol and rubric development
- Lead commitment to quality and promotion of a continuous improvement culture across the team and organization
- Completes quality assurance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning Quality Assurance Specialists workflows and following up on work results
- Assures quality processes by establishing, enabling, and implementing quality standards and protocols across all services lines
- Conducts random inspections and quality control checks
- Understands organizational goals and aligns quality assurance strategies to support key operational outcomes
- Develops the quality assurance team by promoting a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability
- Partners with quality assurance system vendors for ongoing review, edit, and development of Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure alignment with organizational standards and goals
- Establishes quality and reliability standards by partnering with operations leadership, other members of management, and with production operators and analysts
- Calibrates with Learning & Development team to identify and deploy education and training opportunities aligned to identified trends for improvement
- Prepares product and process quality summary reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Creates quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing the quality assurance budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating adjustment actions as appropriate
- Evaluates program operations from a strategic level to ensure that program meets quality, integrity, functionality, and outcome requirements
- Collaborates with other members of management to identify areas of excellence and recommendations for areas of opportunity based upon trends in scoring
- Develops and implements work product review and evaluation processes
Requirements
- Highly developed oral and written interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict management skills and the ability to work effectively with other people
- Adept at delegating tasks among the team and prioritizing work and deliverables
- Strong attention to detail with ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and projects, work to tight timeframes, and achieve exceptional outcomes
- In-depth understanding of best practices in quality assurance and reporting
- Proven ability to use a consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced evolving work environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
- Ability to prioritize initiatives based on the evolving financial needs of the company, making consistently strategic recommendations to company leadership
- Ability to work in and manage ambiguity, including dealing effectively with issues that do not always have a process, system, or solution in place
- Keen ability to problem solve with creative yet outcome-focused solutions
- Self-starter with high initiative
- Demonstrate alignment to our company's values, along with the capability to hire, lead, develop, and motivate a team
Education and Experience
- 3 years’ experience developing and implementing quality standards, assessing risks, developing rubrics, and making recommended changes (required)
- Experienced in Standard Operating Procedure creation, structure, and execution. Must understand Quality Management System standards and how to achieve organizational quality improvement with a strong operational focus.
- Proven acumen in building, structuring, navigating, and troubleshooting quality assurance, operations, or client software (preferred)
- Expertise with mergers and acquisitions and supporting a diverse workforce required; work in the healthcare/medical billing field preferred
- Bachelor's degree, or 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience (required)
- Previous experience implementing ISO 9001 standard operating procedures and maintenance of QMS (preferred)
- Experience launching a quality assurance function or materially maturing an existing program
- Proven leadership experience, including supporting, developing, and growing new teams
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or operations leadership role
