Job Description

Overview


Participates in the development and maintenance of clinical operations standardization across the Medical Group. This includes assuring that the related processes, policies, and procedures are adherent to any regulatory or compliance requirements. Leads the survey readiness program which assures that all practice locations are "survey ready" 365 days per year. Participate in CQI/QA projects as it relates to back office clinical operations. This includes project implementation, documentation, and corrective action plans. Required to travel intermittently to all practice locations.

Responsibilities


Core Responsibilites and Essential Functions
  • Clinical Operations Standardization * Work with Practice Managers to roll out new clinical operations policies and procedures. * Work with clinical staff and managers to identify best practices as it relates to back office clinical operations. * Work with office staff, purchasing, and pharmacy to maintain inventory of medical supplies and medications, to include pharmaceutical samples. * Lead vendor relationships in terms of new product introduction, pricing, and practice standardization.
  • Survey Readiness Owner * Lead clinical site surveys for new practice acquisitions and work with development team for new build-outs in order to ensure that practice locations meet clinical compliance and regulatory requirements. * Lead ongoing clinical site surveys for all Medical Group locations to ensure that clinical compliance and regulatory requirements are maintained. * Perform site surveys as required per payor credentialing. Develop and implement corrective action plan and response to survey deficiencies as applicable. * Work with practice managers and/or clinical staff on applicable corrective action plans as it relates to survey readiness. * Develop appropriate clinical operational Policies and Procedures as it relates to Survey Readiness. * Be familiar with any clinical agreements required by the state.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance * In conjunction with the Survey Readiness efforts, work with clinical staff to make sure that appropriate QA logs are maintained in each practice for applicable labs, equipment, etc. * Ensure appropriate licensure is maintained as it related to CLIA and new equipment. * Ensure maintenance of updated MSDS sheets and other OSHA related requirements for each practice location. * Work with clinical services and practice locations to lead site specific and organizational CQI projects, including data collection and corrective action follow up. * Ensure that all medical equipment has appropriate inspection and maintenance and facilitate inspections as applicable.
  • Clinical Operations Support * Support clinical services staff in ongoing projects as it relates to data collection, reporting, and graphing. * May be asked to participate in clinic workflow analysis as applicable

Qualifications


Required Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's Degree BS in health related field preferred, but will consider work related experience if degree is not in health related field. Required

Required Minimum Experience
  • 3-5 years in healthcare operations; managerial experience Preferred

Required Minimum Skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues.

  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission, NCQA, CLIA.

  • Experience with CQI/QA as it relates to project implementation, documentation, and corrective action plans.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, as well as familiarity with reporting and graphics software.

  • Ability to work without direct supervision.

  • Initiative, problem-solving, adaptability and flexibility.
