Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Waukesha, WI

What you’ll do:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will drive food safety and quality awareness throughout the facility through the maintenance and continuous improvement of the food safety management system.This role will also provide food safety and quality support for both our Waukesha and Germantown facilities, by designing and implementing the food safety management system, managing of the raw material programs and continuous improvement of our food safety management system.

Key responsibilities:

• Participate in customer, 3rd party, internal, and regulatory audits
• Serve as the Food Safety Team Lead to drive food safety throughout the facilities
• Ensure compliance to the food safety management system (FSSC 22000 standard) throughout the facility
• Conduct verification activities to ensure corrective actions were implemented effectively to prevent reoccurrences
• Conduct risk assessments on raw materials, suppliers, contract manufacturers, and external warehouses to determine appropriate requirements
• Primary contact for site improvement initiatives and incident management

You bring:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance with strong understanding of the Food Safety Management System.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.

• Knowledge of applicable food codes and FSSC22000 standards.
• PCQI certification is preferred.
• Able to work within an online database for management of food safety systems.
• SAP knowledge desirable.
