Quality Assurance Specialist Jobs

Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the administration of Shin-Etsu’s Quality Management System.

• Assist with Lab Release function in Oracle to release products from Quality Hold
• Review active Change Control Authorizations (CCA’s) and activate “special review” feature where needed in Oracle for deeper analysis of QC results related to open CCA’s and NPL’s. Engage with appropriate parties when red flags are found in this review
• Conduct analytical testing and data analysis
• Fill out material request forms and track related testing
• Support maintenance of quality control database and archiving.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager
• Update specifications to SEC templates. Review customer specifications and Oracle specifications to ensure consistency across platforms. Flag differences and ensure reviews are made by Sales, TS&D and Quality. Initiate Change Control for related changes. Ensure documents provided by customers are filed and retained for reference
• Respond to customers’ quality self-audits and surveys.
• Dedicate significant time to update documentation, ensuring SESA is up to standards for audits
• Manage controlled document system. Collect, archive, and post various quality documents including departmental work instructions, procedures, forms, and specifications (customer, supplier, SEC, and SESA). Update, maintain, and ensure these important documents are active and available
• Serve as backup to Quality Systems Engineer and Quality Control Supervisor in their absence

Requirements

Education and Experience

• 5 years’ experience in a key quality management systems role in a manufacturing organization preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or related field required

• Ability to write and execute procedures
• Thorough knowledge of quality management systems, related business systems, and production processes.
• Capable of proactive approach to identify and eliminate potential problem areas.
• Ability to work independently and in groups and be self-motivated in both settings.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Work Environment:

• This position operates primarily in a professional office environment
• The role routinely uses standard office equipment

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
