The Opportunity for a Backend Developer:

The company is currently seeking an accomplished Backend Developer to join its rapidly growing team. This role entails direct collaboration with the Chief Scientific Officer and playing a pivotal part in designing and developing backend applications. The selected candidate will contribute to a team committed to pioneering innovative diagnostic tests for early cancer identification. Responsibilities of the Backend Developer:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and databases into a unified system.
• Address both technical and end-user requirements.
• Collaborate within a team of Scientists, Data Analysts, Frontend and Backend Developers.
• Create reusable, efficient, and testable code.
• Design and develop backend applications and distributed systems for Universal Diagnostics' internal and external support systems and databases.
• Oversee projects from conceptualization to final implementation.

Qualifications for the Role:

• Showcases strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Holds a Master's degree in Data Analytics.
• Demonstrates proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python or R.
• Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written English language skills.
• Is skilled in version control using Git, comfortable with Linux, and experienced in bash scripting.
• Exhibits proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Brings a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Communicates effectively and is an adept team player.
• Pays meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness and capacity to travel up to 25% of the time.

Compensation: The gross annual salary and annual bonus will be negotiated with the selected candidate.
