Purchasing Specialist Jobs

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team and provide administrative and purchasing assistance for the Division of Hematology/Oncology various research laboratories and units. You will serve as the main point of contact for procurement needs including purchase order and reimbursement requests for the various faculty, researchers, and staff. Place orders through the BruinBuy system and verify appropriate funding sources. You will be interfacing with vendors to verify pricing, availability and shipping date and resolving discrepancies with invoicing; and follow-up with Accounts Payable to ensure proper payment for multiple research projects and any other issues. As our Purchasing Specialist, you will help submit facilities service requests and attend relevant in-service training courses within the Department of Medicine, Hematology Oncology, and other relevant Campus procurement training. The ideal candidate is expected to perform duties independently while also keeping supervisor appraised of potential problems. Salary Range: $26.48 - $53.40 Hour

Required: * Demonstrate skills in prioritizing workflow to meet deadlines, often under pressure of conflicting demands, while maintaining accuracy and effectiveness of work * Skills in analyzing information sufficient to identify mistakes or routine problems associated with Bruinbuy preparation and invoice payments * Ability to provide the full range of purchasing functions * PC skills in Windows environment * Ability to walk long distances or walk several times throughout the day to perform pickup and delivery duties throughout campus locations
