You’ll get a chance to:

• Evaluate the effectiveness and fitness of suppliers to determine the company’s procurement strategy.
• Ensure availability and accurate pricing at authorized distributors.
• Communicate with suppliers concerning all aspects of the partnership including PRG philosophy and growth plans and aligns suppliers with Panda to support company growth.
• Assist Purchasing Manager with developing additional suppliers as the company grows to ensure the lowest costs to Panda. Helps ensure suppliers have sufficient production and quality capabilities to meet Panda’s needs by visiting existing and potential suppliers’ facilities and assessing production capabilities, manufacturing practices, and quality standards.
• Ensure all products are continuously available to distributors and Multi Concept locations when needed by monitoring agreements/contracts with product manufacturers.
• Maintain a strong professional relationship between suppliers and the company.
• Anticipate, identify, and promptly addresses all product availability issues and resolves any chronic supply problems.
• Sets up inventory management for international operations.
• Assist Purchasing Manager in identifying suppliers for assigned items and preparing optimal contracts in terms of pricing, quality, timing, and supply availability over the term of the contract.
• Manage production and inventory levels at manufacturers and distributors to ensure reliability and lowest total cost and avoids or minimizes costs for discontinued and/or obsolete inventory.
• Assist Purchasing Manager in identifying new suppliers to support future growth.
• Evaluates potential suppliers in coordination with FSQA concerning the viability of their product and acceptability of their manufacturing facility.
• Support effective new product introductions by working collaboratively with Product Innovation and FSQA on product sourcing and innovation and negotiating and managing new item introductions with our suppliers. Ensures timely availability of all assigned ingredients to support product tests and new product introductions.
• Help ensure costs are within budget.
• Assist Purchasing Manager with global sourcing for international expansion.
• May attend supplier and industry shows to identify potential suppliers.
• Assist with negotiating with new suppliers over cost and collaborates with logistics to bring product(s) into distribution.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Successful completion of annual store training
• If hired, must provide proof of full vaccination on start date, unless prohibited by federal, state, or local law. Full vaccination means two weeks or more have passed after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series, or more than two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine. Examples of proof of full vaccination include an original, photocopied, or digital completed vaccination card that includes name, type of vaccine provided, and date of last dose administered.
• Minimum three years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in a multi-unit
• If hired, successful completion of annual store training
