Position: Purchasing Manager
Location: Fully Remote
About The Role
As a Purchasing Manager at House Buyers of America, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality homes and excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will encompass managing purchasing and contracts, sourcing cost-effective products, and maintaining top-tier quality standards for our residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing and Contracts Management: Oversee all aspects of purchasing and contract management, including negotiation, contract development, and invoice submission.
Cost Efficiency: Negotiate the lowest possible costs while upholding high-quality standards and creatively source new products to enhance house quality and aesthetic appeal.
Specification Development: Collaborate with senior management to determine or update specification levels.
Detailed Estimates: Develop comprehensive project estimates for renovations and residential new construction.
Scope of Work: Create detailed scopes of work for renovations, optimizing return on investment for each property.
Contractor Management: Bid out renovations, hire, train, and manage contractors, ensuring proper registration.
Collaboration: Effectively communicate with the Construction Team to achieve cost-efficient, quality construction.
Documentation: Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs), handle invoicing upon project completion, and maintain organized records.
Quality Assurance: Conduct field audits to ensure work aligns with contractual specifications.
Cost Optimization: Strive to complete projects under budget while continuously seeking ways to reduce construction costs and streamline processes.
Data Management: Update House Buyers of America's property database and reports, maintaining meticulous records.
Adaptability: Be prepared to take on various responsibilities to help the company meet its goals, given our dynamic and rapidly growing environment.
Requirements
Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of Purchasing experience with a major home builder or remodeling company.
Tech Skills: Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Excel.
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Language Skills: Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus but not a requirement.
