(Prv) Valve Technician Trainee

What you'll be doing:

• Perform relief valve testing on all test stands (liquid, air, steam, tank vent)
• Provide troubleshooting assistance
• Assist with technical repairs of a variety of pressure relief and tank valves. (All repairs are performed in the shop under supervision)
• Blasting, painting and cleaning of RV parts

What we are looking for:

• High School graduate
• Ability to evaluate technical data and troubleshoot mechanical problems
• 2+ years of experience as a shop technician and/or demonstration of general mechanical competency
• Great communication skills and a dedication to customer and service excellence
• Must have clean and excellent driving record
• Understanding of shop workflow and ability to recognize potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement; assists in implementation of some of these areas as necessary
• Proficiency in mechanical design and operation of pressure relief valves (including pilot valves)
• Demonstrates solid understanding of inspection coding options on traveler (what each is, how to recognize each)
• Must be able to pass random drug testing, including hair follicle testing

Physical Demands:
Good vision and auditory response to detect RV leaks and inspection. Physical ability to climb, possess basic agility and endurance and lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
Travel:
Must be available to work overtime including periodic out of state travel.

Experience
Required

• 2 year(s): Experience as a shop technician and/or demonstration of general mechanical competency

Preferred

• Ability to evaluate technical data and troubleshoot mechanical problems

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
