Summary You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the WEAPONS AND ENERGETICS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will support the Navy Airborne Operations Program. You will provide logistics support, quality assurance support, design support, and training support as needed. You will assist with updates to applicable technical manuals, maintenance plans, Users Logistics Support Summary (ULSS), and write Naval Messages and Naval letters. You will research, assess, and write Safety Assessments on potential new equipment, analyze equipment malfunctions, and assist with engineering investigations on current equipment as required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DT-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Assisting in providing logistics support, quality assurance support, design support, and training support as needed; 2) Assisting Engineers with the development of test plans, test reports, and participating items for testing; 3) Researching, assessing, and writing Safety Assessments on potential new equipment, analyze equipment malfunctions, and assisting with engineering investigations on current equipment as required; and 4) Demonstrating experience as as a Navy Special Operations or EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Parachute Rigger (NEC 7353 or 773A) OR US Marine Corps Parachute Rigger (MOS - Military Occupational Specialty 0451) OR US Army Parachute Rigger (MOS 92R).
