Proposal Writer
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office), 0-3 times per month. Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our PulsePoint locations.
The Proposal Writer is responsible for writing standard proposal responses to win and retain existing business, developing responses for complex RFPs/RFIs, and projects received by sales personnel from major health organizations as well as directly from employer groups.
How You Will Make An Impact

• Independently manages each project to completion including, but not limited to: engaging in ongoing communications with Sales Director/Officer, Underwriting, and other corporate personnel to review proposal options and changing conditions; researching and gathering information internally and externally.
• Creates standard proposal responses leveraging the core content repository, and develops written solutions, leveraging best practices, brand standards, innovative ideas, and reviewer insights.
• Writes and proofreads final deliverables.
• Oversees the entire production process ranging from ordering covers to final quality review and sign-off.
• Partners with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop new solutions and obtain direction to create alternative solutions.
• Aligns multiple written communication efforts with the overall company messaging and goals.
• Identifies and creates standard content for the proposal database and edits content.
• Obtains and develops supporting materials and documentation required by the account.
• Organizes and participates in strategy meetings with senior sales personnel to determine the “win themes” and sales emphasis of each proposal.
• Develops and writes targeted Executive Summaries that highlight key selling points as well as corporate initiatives.
• Partners with the creative staff in choosing appropriate artwork for final deliverables and oversees and directs the production staff to produce all necessary materials by the predetermined deadline.
• Serves as a communications resource for business leaders and collaborates across various areas to support enterprise-wide selling initiatives.
• Conducts initial review of RFPs/RFIs and projects to create a bid strategy plan for final deliverables.
• May collaborate and partner with senior writers on more complex responses.

Minimum Requirements

• Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of healthcare-specific proposal writing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, And Experiences

• Experience working in a matrixed organization is highly preferred.
• Project Management experience is strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $70,560 to $127,008.
